Recognise four kinds of information
An official notice describes a procedure. Procurement documents contain its specific requirements. A Vergabezone guide explains a way of working. A market observation points to a possible development. These layers answer different questions and work best when read together.
- Source fact: what did the named source actually publish?
- Interpretation: what could it mean for your business?
- Next step: what do you need to check in the original?
A short check before every decision
Compare the buyer, identifier, procedure status, deadline and source link. Treat publication and collection dates separately: collection tells you when information was captured; it does not extend a submission deadline. Then check corrections and the latest version in the original portal.
A large collection is not exhaustive coverage
Notices can concern open procedures, prior information, results or cancelled procedures. Several lots and versions can belong to one procurement project. A result is therefore not automatically an open opportunity or an additional business.
Actual source status and available periods are more useful than a blanket promise of every tender. Historical comparisons also need to consider changes in sources, collection and publication requirements.
CPV explains categories, not your qualification
At the recorded position on 29 October 2026, the service library contains 9,454 CPV main-vocabulary entries and 1,041 collection and pagination pages. These include goods, works, services and parent nodes. This number is not a count of live tenders.
The pages combine official terms and hierarchies with identified practice profiles from the appropriate ancestor level. The 120 sector dossiers add context. This does not make them 9,454 individually verified binding specifications or an automatic confirmation of eligibility.
Use news and decisions in context
A feed title or metadata excerpt does not establish that the entire linked article was reviewed. For news, check the original story and its context; for events, also check the organiser, date and attendance terms. A signal is a research lead, not a confirmed invitation.
For a court decision, check the court, case reference, date, procedural position and facts. Our observations identify possible lessons. Applying them to your procedure requires a separate assessment; they are not legal advice or a prediction of success.
Report a source issue precisely
Email kontakt@vergabezone.de with the Vergabezone page, original link, identifier and a brief description of the discrepancy. Say whether it concerns a deadline, correction or personal information. This helps compare the source, presentation and interpretation.
If a bid deadline is approaching, do not wait for an editorial response. Use the procedure’s official communication channel and retain your own records.
What else would you like to know?
Is every result an open tender?
No. Check the status and deadline. Prior information, results, corrections and cancelled procedures can also be part of the research collection.
Do the counts represent the entire German market?
No. Counts describe the specified collection, period and record type. Missing sources, multiple versions and differing publication duties can affect the analysis.
Which version matters for my submission?
Check the currently applicable documents, corrections and messages in the original procedure. A saved summary does not replace that check.
Does a CPV match confirm that my business can participate?
It helps with subject-based discovery. Participation depends on the specific procedure, your capabilities and the evidence it requires.
