Start with a specific task
If procurement is new to you, start with the free guides and the how-it-works overview. Sector knowledge explains typical services; the service library helps with CPV terminology. After sign-in, the workspace supports your own research, documents and collaboration.
You do not need to guess an unfamiliar abbreviation. Use the glossary and examples, then check its meaning in the original procedure. English help supports getting started; it does not translate or replace binding German documents.
Move through a page with the keyboard
Use Tab to move between controls and Shift with Tab to move back. Enter opens links; buttons generally respond to Enter or Space. Follow the visible focus indication and the control’s label.
If focus disappears, you become trapped in a region or a feature only works with a mouse, report the exact location. Describe the expected next step too. That is more useful than a general report that the page is difficult to use.
Text, zoom and illustrations
Use your browser’s zoom if text appears too small. Headings and section links help on longer pages. Images should support the information; essential explanations also belong in readable text.
If zoom cuts off content, a label has insufficient contrast or a graphic has an unclear description, tell us the page and element. Checking selected views is not a complete assessment of all content and assistive technology.
Report a barrier with a few details
Email kontakt@vergabezone.de, using Accessibility issue as the subject if helpful. Include the page address, your task and the barrier. Browser, device and any assistive technology can help; a diagnosis or medical information is not needed.
- Example: I need to read a deadline, but the table is cut off at 200% zoom.
- Example: I can reach the dialog with the keyboard but cannot reach its close button.
- Tell us which information you need in another form.
Distinguish legal scope carefully
The Federal Accessibility Office distinguishes covered consumer services under the BFSG from exclusively business-facing services. Applicable duties depend on the actual offering. A business label or checkbox does not replace that assessment.
BITV 2.0 concerns the information technology of public bodies. Explaining tenders does not itself make a private platform a public body. Clear and accessible use remains our aim regardless of that classification.
What this explanation establishes
These notes describe intended access and a contact route. They do not claim independent certification or an audit of every document, original portal or personal workspace item. External procurement portals may have their own barriers, so always identify the affected website in your request.
What else would you like to know?
Do I need an account to report an accessibility issue?
No. You can use the published contact address without signing in. Include only what is needed to explain the problem.
Is the entire site certified accessible?
This page makes no such certification claim. Practical access features and individual checks are different from a full conformity assessment.
Can I ask for a clearer explanation?
Yes. Identify the section and what you need explained. Understanding the public help does not require Premium or evidence of a disability.
Does this explanation cover a linked procurement portal?
No. Each original portal operates separately. We can explain the access route; its technical accessibility is the responsibility of its provider.
