Read the stages
Open “Plan my bids” and use the board view. Columns such as “Qualification”, “Preparation” and “Review” describe your internal working stage. They are not automatically confirmed status messages from the buyer.
Read pursuit and deadline together
Open a card and check its owner and deadline. Prioritise according to actual requirements and time available rather than an assumed contract amount.
Move only reviewed progress
Change the stage using the selector on the card once the agreed work is actually complete. Review outstanding tasks and owners before moving to “Review”.
Record outcomes with evidence
Mark submitted only after confirmed transmission. Record a win or loss using the notice actually received. Unknown outcomes remain unknown.
Make the method concrete.
Three example pursuits are qualifying, preparing and awaiting review. The team discusses the unresolved mandatory requirement and next deadline first. The board shows work, not a win forecast.
Avoid this common pitfall.
Updating the pipeline by intuition alone. Agree what your team needs before each stage is complete.
Common questions, clearly answered.
Does a column change the original portal status?
No. The board organises internal work.
Can I learn from unsuccessful bids?
Record received feedback and actual observations. Distinguish supported reasons from assumptions.
