From a search term to a suitable opportunity.

Combine terms, filters and sources without excluding suitable procedures too early.

Your practical outcome:A repeatable search routine and a profile you can refine deliberately.

Search for a service

Open “Search tenders”. Enter a specific service under “What do you offer?” and select “Find opportunities”. Then try a synonym: “Gebäudereinigung”, “Unterhaltsreinigung” and “Reinigungsleistungen” can reveal different wording.

Narrow the location and service

Open “Refine search”. Add a “Location or region label” or relevant CPV prefix, then select “Apply criteria”. Check each result to see whether the location describes the buyer’s address or the place of performance.

Read the procedure stage

Check “Notice stage” and “Deadline rule” separately. A prior-information notice signals potential demand; an award notice describes an outcome. “With a current deadline date” is a research filter: verify the current original deadline, time and time zone.

Review unknown values separately

A value filter may exclude records without a published amount. An absent deadline proves neither availability nor closure. Review these separately if their scope fits.

Name and save the search

Select “Save search” and give the profile a clear name. Use “Saved searches” to reopen the retained criteria. This saves your search; it does not arrange automatic email delivery.

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Make the method concrete.

A cleaning business first searches broadly for routine cleaning, then adds North Rhine-Westphalia and open procedures. A second search without a value filter keeps undisclosed budgets in view.

Avoid this common pitfall.

Applying location, minimum value, exact CPV and a short deadline at once. Start broadly and identify which filters remove relevant results.

Common questions, clearly answered.

Does every view search the same collection?

The working collection and procurement archive serve different purposes. Read the collection and coverage notes for the selected view.

Does a result guarantee an open contract?

No. Check the stage, current original documents and the deadline stated there.
