Make your capabilities clear.

Describe services, delivery area and capacity so you can assess suitable opportunities with evidence.

Your practical outcome:An accurate capability profile you can reuse before each bid decision.

Start with your actual services

Open “My company profile” and select “Edit profile”. Enter the company name and specific services, such as heat-pump maintenance rather than simply “construction”. Describe what your business can deliver itself.

Separate company address and delivery area

Record your office location and the regions you can actually serve. An office in Düsseldorf does not automatically make your team available in Munich. Travel and mobilisation matter.

Add relevant CPV families

Use the free CPV browser. Start with a service family and inspect narrower categories. More codes do not make a business more qualified; select only categories that describe your work.

Review references and resources

Use “References” for substantiated projects and “Capacity & cash” for your planning inputs. Distinguish planned qualifications from evidence already held. Record unknowns rather than replacing missing experience with general claims.

Apply the profile to an opportunity

Compare an opportunity’s scope with the profile. Record what fits, what needs checking and what a named partner might deliver. A profile supports review but does not establish eligibility.

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Make the method concrete.

An IT business lists accessible learning-platform operations, data migration and German-language support. For a related project it still checks required reference scale, the operating model and team availability.

Avoid this common pitfall.

A CPV code or broad industry label does not replace required evidence. Keep planned and existing capabilities separate.

Common questions, clearly answered.

Is the profile public?

The company profile belongs to your protected workspace. Public walkthroughs show example data only.

Do I already need references?

You can start a profile and record gaps. The actual procurement documents determine which references, if any, are needed.
