Repairs, maintenance and voidsYour expertise. Your next bid.
A minor repair and a major void refurbishment carry different assumptions. Work through job classes, trade handovers and property-specific defects before declaring the work ready for acceptance.

YOUR PRACTICE. STEP BY STEP.
From understanding to application.
The modules connect concrete requirements, reliable evidence and a practical task for your business. Begin with the topic that helps you now.
An attendance target can obscure diagnosis, authorisation, material collection and a return visit. When those handoffs are unclear, a bidder can promise completion that the ordering process does not actually support. Working output: A job process map distinguishing attendance, authorised work and closure, with questions about the handoffs still needing agreement.
A void handover can reveal a specialist defect or extensive work that the initial property category did not describe. Standard refresh assumptions then become unreliable for both trade sequencing and return-to-use dates. Working output: A void-readiness checklist separating defined tasks from condition-dependent work and identifying the evidence needed for a credible programme.
Travel, no-access visits, reporting and material collection consume the same working day as productive trade time. Individually achievable rates may still create an unsustainable service when the geography and job mix are combined. Working output: A service capacity decision connecting rates, geographic coverage and repeat-attendance assumptions to the people available for the contract.
