PORTAL WALKTHROUGH / Research and save EU notices, then follow the submission route

TED · Tenders Electronic Daily

TED publishes European public procurement notices. Search by sector, place of performance, buyer and procedure details. Publication on TED does not mean bids are submitted directly through its search interface.

Know this first

Account and access: Search does not require a bidder account. A TED account through EU Login enables features such as saved searches and alerts. Submission may additionally require an account on another platform.

Where do you submit? Through the submission address in the notice. For German procedures this is often a German procurement platform; for EU institutions it may be the Funding & Tenders Portal/eSubmission route.

SCHEMATIC EXAMPLENOT A REAL PORTAL
Discovery portals help you find opportunities. Submit where the procedure instructs.
  1. 01

    Narrow down scope and location

Use keywords or CPV and the appropriate place of performance. Check deadlines and notice type to keep awarded contracts out of your first-opportunity shortlist.

  2. 02

    Read the full notice

Check lots, procedure type, permitted tender language and participation conditions. The TED interface language is not automatically a permitted bid language.

  3. 03

    Optionally set up alerts

Sign in to TED with EU Login if you want saved searches or alerts. This research function is not an application for the contract.

  4. 04

    Open the original documents

Follow the document link provided. Read the original documents and amendments; a summary alone is insufficient for preparing a tender.

  5. 05

    Identify the submission platform

Use the expressly specified submission address. Check account access and the prescribed process there. Do not confuse eNotices2 notice publication with bidder submission.

  6. 06

    Participate and submit there

Ask questions, complete the documents and transmit your tender in the official procedure. Follow its displayed deadline and required form.

  7. 07

    Track proof and changes

Save the submission platform’s receipt and monitor its messages. TED alerts support research but do not replace the specific procedure inbox.

Common mistakes to avoid

These are pitfalls, not recommended actions:

  • Treating TED access, EU Login and submission-platform access as identical.
  • Treating an automatic translation as the permitted tender language.
  • Trying to publish a notice when you are a supplier trying to submit a bid.
