Logistics: Scope and decision

Annual volume can conceal a short picking peak, a difficult delivery pattern or goods requiring different handling. A bidder may offer a credible average-day rate while lacking the people, space or vehicle capacity needed when the customer's actual work arrives together. Working output: A peak demand profile linking order shape to people, space and transport capacity, with the missing operating information and unconfirmed partner support visible before service levels and rates are approved by the team.

Logistics: Planning and control

Loading, storage, transport and receipt may be owned by different parties. If condition and exception handovers are weak, the supplier can promise end-to-end performance without a traceable way to establish who accepted the goods or owns the next action after a discrepancy. Working output: A custody map connecting loading, storage, delivery and return responsibilities, with accepted handovers and exception ownership clear enough to support the proposed performance claim and a practical review of the operational method.

Logistics: Evidence and handover

Waiting, failed delivery, unusual handling and returns can consume substantial work outside a simple movement rate. If the proposed schedule leaves them implicit, operations may accept additional activity before the customer or commercial team understands the charge and responsibility being created. Working output: An exception charge schedule with worked waiting, failed-delivery and return cases, connecting the operational decision to an understandable commercial boundary before the supplier agrees additional activity or the customer receives an unexpected invoice for it.
