Fleet

Fleet: Scope and decision

A vehicle class or catalogue figure may look suitable while failing to reflect actual loads, equipment, distances and operating periods. Choosing from headline specifications can leave the bidder defending availability or performance that its proposed configuration cannot support in the intended duty. Working output: A duty-to-configuration comparison linking the customer's work to the offered vehicle, with material usage assumptions and technical questions visible before supply and service commitments are priced and approved.

Fleet

Fleet: Planning and control

Workshop opening hours and a parts promise may not restore a vehicle during the customer's busiest shift. A fleet availability statement can overlook mobile support, replacement suitability and the time needed to diagnose, authorise and complete a repair while existing customers use the same facilities. Working output: An availability coverage plan showing repair and replacement pathways, critical operating periods and confirmed support capacity, with acceptance based on a usable vehicle rather than only the recording of a service response.

Fleet

Fleet: Evidence and handover

Mileage limits, maintenance exclusions, condition and return assumptions can make apparently similar fleet prices materially different. If changed duty is not explained, the customer and supplier may discover the true charge only after the vehicle is already committed to the work. Working output: A lifetime-charge model separating acquisition or hire, maintenance, changed duty and return assumptions, with a worked variation that makes the full offered service comparable on the same stated commercial basis.
