Built environment and property · YOUR SECTOR LEARNING PATH
Building maintenanceYour expertise. Your next bid.
Maintenance quantities depend on the asset register; response commitments depend on available people. Work through equipment records, achievable attendance windows and evidence that a repair resolved the defect.

YOUR PRACTICE. STEP BY STEP.
From understanding to application.
The modules connect concrete requirements, reliable evidence and a practical task for your business. Begin with the topic that helps you now.
A nearby site can make a contract look manageable while distant locations and round-the-clock cover change the operating model. The same specialist may also be needed on existing contracts when an urgent request arrives. Working output: A coverage decision showing the locations, hours and concurrent-demand assumptions that the available staff and specialist support can sustain.
Asset volumes, inaccessible locations and old defect records can materially change planned and reactive workload. An annual fee becomes difficult to judge when the opening baseline is assumed rather than checked. Working output: A baseline register linking asset gaps and inherited defects to the opening checks and commercial decisions they require.
An attendance record does not establish that the issue was diagnosed, approved, repaired and checked. Travel, quotation administration and reporting can consume significant time between first contact and the customer's completed-work evidence. Working output: A service cost outline and closure checklist showing the tasks and evidence required beyond the first maintenance attendance.
