NO TECHNICAL BACKGROUND NEEDED

A feed is a reading list.
The URL is your connection.

Your reader or calendar decides when to check for updates. A subscription is not an email list and does not submit a bid.

01

Read in your feed reader

  1. Choose news, learning or a public tender preview.
  2. Select RSS or Atom and copy the URL.
  3. In your reader, choose “Add feed” or “Subscribe by URL” and paste it.

The reader collects references. Full articles and authoritative information remain at the linked originals.

02

Subscribe to event dates

  1. Choose events and select the ICS format.
  2. In your calendar, choose “From internet” or “Subscribe by URL”.
  3. Paste the URL. For a one-off import, download the ICS file instead.

Importing and subscribing are different. Before travelling, check dates, location, time zone and registration with the organiser.

03

Use your own workflow

  1. Choose JSON Feed and copy the public URL or curl command.
  2. Run the GET request in the explorer and inspect its actual structure.
  3. Preserve provenance, date precision and usage scope when processing the data.

Responses are bounded. A feed is not a complete database export or proof of coverage of every German tender.

Why can a feed be empty?

The approved retained collection or your filters may currently contain no items. An unavailable source snapshot can also limit coverage. This says nothing about the entire market. Check the status, filters and original sources.

Are approval, collection date and publication date the same?

No. Approval describes the configured source policy. Collection state records technical retrieval. Publication dates belong to individual items and retain their actual precision. Fetching a feed again does not make older content newly published.

Can I submit a bid through a feed?

A feed supports monitoring and research. Bids, clarification questions and formal participation use the channel specified in the original procurement documents. A match or city label does not establish suitable scope or an open deadline.
